I met Guesno Mardy last week, when I was lying on the tarmac at Port-au-Prince International airport. Immediately, I was struck with a sense of, for lack of a better word, humble greatness. He seemed happy, yet reserved.

"Bishop Mardy," as he is affectionately referred to, is actually a counselor in the mission presidency here, and he is one of the faces of the brave priesthood leadership and holds a pivotal role of watching over the membership.

Bishop Mardy came to the airport in a white shirt and tie because it was his priesthood duty to do so. He doesn't talk about it, but what is humbling is when I think about my own problems is see what this man is going through right now.
